We are deeply saddened to announce that The Ferryboat Inn as we know it will be closing its doors for the final time on the 3rd January 2025. The pub has been our lives for the past 20+ years and we have owned this business since 2008 but in the past few years, especially since COVID, things have become tougher and tougher. We have therefore made the extremely difficult decision not to renew our lease. We would like to thank every single customer who has walked through our door. We have met some amazing people, and our regulars mean the world to us. Lastly, we wanted to thank our staff. Their hard work and dedication is what has made our business what it is, and we are indebted to them. We will be in contact with any bookings affected over the next couple of days, but please bear with us whilst we navigate through these extremely challenging circumstances. Our priority right now is to support our staff in the best way we can. We would like everyone to join us for one final drink Friday 3rd January evening, and would love to see as many of you, especially our regulars, as possible. If you would like to join us for food, we will be open all day serving food 12pm-6pm, and open in the evening for a final farewell drink. We will be operating as normal until then. All of our love, Kevin & Scott.

Set in the Hamlet of Felixstowe Ferry, a bracing blast along the coast or a more peaceful meander through the Links golf course brings you to this quiet village. Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty at the mouth of the river Deben, the Ferryboat was originally built in the 15th Century as home to the Ferry master, later becoming a hostelry for travellers and fisherman alike in the 16th Century.
